Wayne N. Apsey, 80, of Lincoln, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alpena.
Born September 8, 1941 to Norman and Alice (Ritchie) Apsey in Lincoln, he was a lifelong resident of the area. On January 20, 1968, he married Veronica Lake in Lincoln. Wayne was a member of the Barton City Eagles. He loved his motorcycles, and enjoyed shooting pool. He was an avid outdoorsman, liked hunting and fishing, and working in his garden. He enjoyed mowing his lawn, riding his four wheeler, and going for Sunday car rides.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Veronica, seven children, Brian (Kathy) Lince, Marty Apsey, Kevin (Sharon) Bowers, Madeline (Don) Castaldini, Pauline (Edward) Smith, Alice Apsey, and Tina (David) Sutherland, 24 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, two brothers, Lloyd Apsey and Roy (Bev) Apsey, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ricky Apsey.
Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. There will be a celebration of Wayne’s life on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at 3:00 PM at the Barton City Eagles Club, 671 Sanborn Road, Barton City, MI 48705.
