Walter George Bartel

On November 12,2022 Walter George Bartel passed away peacefully at his home. He was 67. He was born in Fort Knox Kentucky. He was a loving man to his late longtime companion Joanne Gibson. He was a loving father to his two children, a son Michael John Bartel, and wife Betty, who reside in Shenandoah VA and a daughter Katherine Theresa Rose Merica, and fiancé Joe Comer, who also reside in Virginia. Along with his two children, he also was a father to his late longtime companion's four children, two daughters Denise Zimmer, and Cheryl Martin, and two sons, Mark Demoines, and Jeff Demoines, who all reside in Harrisville Michigan. Walter was a loving grandfather to six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Along with numerous nieces and nephews. He enjoyed woodwork, fishing, camping, cooking, being outdoors, and spending time with family and friends. Walter served eight years in the US Army. He was preceded in death by both parents, George and Ruth Bartel. There will be no funeral service.
