Valerie K. Joslin

Valerie K. Joslin, 73, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at her home. Born November 21, 1947 to Harold and Leora (Rushman) Reames in Harrisville, she was raised there. Valerie graduated from Oakland Community College and worked as a Registered Nurse. On February 6, 1971 she married Walter Joslin in Harrisville. They were residents of Oxford. Valerie was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Mikado. She loved quilting, and was a member of several local quilting clubs. She enjoyed genealogy and traveling, and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Valerie is survived by her husband Walter, two sons, Vincent and Phillip Joslin, three step daughters, Rene Aebig, Deborah Taylor, and Dixie Joslin, numerous grandchildren and step grandchildren, her brother Duane (Althea) Reames, her sister-in-law Rosemary Reames as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters Carole Campbell and Barbara Becker, and two brothers Larry and Jerry Reames. Visitation will be Monday, November 1, 2021 from 10:00 AM until the Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Mikado. Rev. John William will officiate. Burial will be in St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Mikado. Arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.
