Tina D. Sager

Tina D. Sager, 61, of Spruce, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at her home. Born October 15, 1960, to Jerry and Shirley (McKay) Rasmussen in Alpena, she was a lifelong resident of the Spruce area. On November 21, 1992, she married Jeff Sager in Spruce. A devoted homemaker, Tina was a wonderful cook, and loved trying a new recipe for her family. She enjoyed crochet, knitting, and tending to her chickens and her garden. She was a member of Spruce Lutheran Church and volunteered with the food pantry there. Tina is survived by her husband, Jeff, four children, Megan (Jerred) Hoppe, Kaleb (Alanie) Sager, Karaline (Josh) Durance, and Lily Sager, six grandchildren, Jason and Violet Hoppe, Aurora, Adaline, and Aria Sager, Beau Durance, and one Hoppe grandchild on the way, her mother, Shirley Freese, two sisters, Kristi (Craig) Kubbe and Kari (Kevin) Bartz, and her brother, Tim (Pam) Rasmussen. She was preceded in death by her son, Jared Sager on December 14, 2019, her father, and her beloved grandma Vi Rasmussen. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.
