Thomas Fredrick Stone went peacefully to be with the Lord on June 25 surrounded by his family at home.
Thomas will be remembered lovingly by his children Reta, LeeAnn (Chris), and Ted, and his grandchildren Michael, Sydney and Marisa.
Thomas is also survived by his Sister Connie Hill (Jim), Sister in laws Judy Stone (William), Linda Stone (Jerry) and Beth Travis (Robert). Brother and Sister in laws Roger Elowsky (Cindy) and Terry Elowsky (Darlene).
Thomas was proceeded in death by his parents William and Lula Stone, and his 4 brothers William, James, Jerry and Robert.
Thomas was born on 5 October 1938 in Harrisville, Michigan and was a lifelong resident. He was a member of the New Life Lutheran Church in Hubbard Lake
He retired from the Alcona school System where he worked as the Transportation and Food Service Director. He retired from the Michigan Army National Guard after 23 years serving as a 1st Sgt. He served as a Harrisville Township Supervisor for many years. Most fondly he will be remembered for all those late-night stops and rides home while working for both the Alcona Sheriff's Office and the Harrisville City Police.
He was a true Public Servant in his County.
He has gone to be with his Bride Darlene of 66 years, where they will continue their journey together (we are sure he’s mowing grass already).
There will be a private family service at a later date, per his wishes upon internment.
