Stanley E. Waszkiewicz, 76, of Mikado, passed away Friday, December 19, 2025 at his home.
Born June 14, 1949, to Stanley and Leanore (Loyer) Waszkiewicz in Mikado, he was a lifelong resident of the area. Stash graduated from Oscoda High School in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969 until 1971. On July 16, 1971, he married Marcia Reames in Mikado. Stash served with the Mikado Volunteer Fire Department from 1983 until 2023 where he was a Medical First Responder, and served as Temporary Fire Chief. He worked at Rolled Products, Starboard, and operated Cut ‘n Trim Lawn Care. He enjoyed hunting and woodworking. He loved helping others, and spending time with his family.
Stash is survived by his wife, Marcia, two daughters, Regina Waszkiewicz (Mike Corn), and Lori (Mark) Harmon, four grandsons, Tyler (Brittany) Good, Ethan (Dakota) Good, Kyle (Megan) Good, and Marcus Harmon, six great grandchildren, Hadlee Reisinger, Remington Good, Michael Good, Brantley Good, Haven Good, and Grace Good, one sister, his sister-in-law, Claudia Pitts, and two brothers-in-law Curtis and Steven Reames. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers-in-law, Dennis Reames and Douglas Reames, one sister-in-law, Paula Swan, and his father and mother-in-law, Wilson and Oletha Reames.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
