Sandra D. Williams

Sandra D. Williams, 74, of Spruce, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023, at her home. Born April 16, 1948 to Halley and Evelyn (Larson) Tacia in Alpena, she was raised in Spruce. On November 19, 1966, she married William “Nick” Williams in Harrisville. They were residents of Flint and Bay City. Sandy was a registered nurse and worked at Flint Osteopathic and Bay Medical Center before retiring to Spruce in 2008. She was a member of the Alcona Historical Society. She loved gardening and canning and tending to her flowers. Sandy enjoyed propagating her perennial plants and selling them at the Alcona Historical Society plant sale. Sandy is survived by her husband, Nick, her daughter, Amy (Jim) Harmer, her son Brian (Christina) Williams, four grandchildren, Katie (Cole DeKett) Harmer, Derik Harmer, Kylie Williams, and Bret Williams, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, David Williams on November 12, 1970, her sister, Eleanor Mosley, and two brothers, Donald and David Tacia. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Memorial donations are suggested to The Friends of the Lincoln Depot, care of the Alcona Historical Society.
