Sandra Jean Dorr

Sandra Jean Blaska Dorr was born April 1, 1935, in Flint, Michigan. She spent her early years in Clio, Michigan where she was raised by her beloved Great Grandmother Tibbets. Sandra graduated from Clio Community High School in 1953. Sandra and her husband John “Jack” Dorr were married for 56 years, and made their home in Genesee, where they raised their three sons, Jeffery, Greg, and Steve. They retired in 1998 and built their home in the beautiful woods in Harrisville. Sandra and Jack were devoted to their wonderful family and many friends, welcoming one and all to share happy times with them around their campfire or in their home at their table. They enjoyed travel, nature, hunting, fishing, gardening, cooking, homemaking, dancing, community clubs, and group activities. Sandy died peacefully in her home on July 26, 2023. She is survived by her son, Jeff Dorr, her grandchildren, Danielle Franklin, Scott Dorr, Andrea Dorr, Steven Dorr, her great granddaughter, Izzy Franklin, and her brother-in-law James (Marva) Dorr, as well as her many friends who will miss her beautiful smile, her encouraging words, her warm and loving heart, her amazing sense of humor and her deeply held faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack in 2002, and her sons Greg and Steve. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
