Roy Allen Apsey, “Hot Rod”, 27, of Lincoln, passed away Friday, October 6, 2023, at his home.
Born January 28, 1996, to Roy L. and Lanice (Pettit) Apsey in Tawas City, MI, he has been a lifelong resident of Lincoln. Roy graduated from Alcona High School in 2014. He enjoyed cooking at several local restaurants. Roy enjoyed trips to Goodwill and testing his luck with scratch off lottery tickets. He was a gentle spirit, who was loved by all who knew him.
Roy is survived by his parents Roy L. and Lanice Apsey of Lincoln, two brothers, Ryan Colorite and Ricky Apsey, his sister Tiffany (Danny) Wilburn, his grandparents, Roy and Beverly Apsey, and Phyllis Zutz, several aunts and uncles, including LaVonne Pettit, Beth (Clarence) Anderson, Stacey Apsey, and Norman (Monica) Apsey, great aunts and uncles including Larry (Nancy Pasant) Pettit, and Chuck (Sue) Pettit, special cousins, Pamela Maher, Breana (Skyler) Confer and Camden Pettit, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Roy is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will be on Monday, October 9, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM.
