Rodney Allen Budreau, of Spruce, passed away January 28, 2024, at MidMichigan Regional Hospital. He had fought a rare illness for many years, but his earthly body just couldn't hold on any longer.
Rod was born March 26, 1957, to Bud & Virginia Budreau of Lincoln. He was the 4th of 6 children and the tallest at 6'6". After graduating from Alcona High School, he was employed by D & M Railroad, the Pat Reames Masonry, then Drywall Plus. He loved fishing, hunting, gardening, woodworking, and sports activities.
He is survived by 4 brothers, John (Esther) of Lincoln, Dennis of Hawaii, Perry (Ava) of Lincoln, Michael (Sharone) of Alpena, and his sister Sandra Rockett of Barton City, seven grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and his long time companion, Peggy Compton.
He was preceded in death by his parents and Cheyenne Smith.
Per his wishes, Rod will be cremated, and a memorial service will be held in the spring.
