Rita Ann Bennett

Rita Ann Bennett, 70, of Harrisville, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2023, at her home. Born August 18, 1952, to Howard and Iva (Healy) Dellar in Harrisville, Mi, she was raised there. On February 21, 1976, she married Brian Bennett at Calvary Baptist Church in Mikado. Rita earned her Bachelor of Art from Western Michigan University. She worked as a librarian at the Oscoda Library from 1978 until she retired in 2016. Rita and her mom catered for many weddings and made cakes. They also loved working with the toddlers at Calvary Baptist Church, where she was a longtime member. Rita enjoyed sewing, canning, and life. She is survived by her husband, Brian, two sons, Jacob Bennett of Colorado Springs and Jonathan (Gail) Bennett of Lachine, MI, her brother, Howard (Marilyn) Dellar of Mikado, her sister-in-law Cora Dellar of Harrisville, as well as many cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, James Dellar. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Calvary Baptist Church in Mikado.
