Richard L. Herrera

Richard LeRoy Herrera Jr., 56, of Durand, formerly of Barton City, passed away Friday, May 24, 2019 at his home.     Born October 16, 1962 to Richard L. and Shirley (Sylvia) Herrera Sr. in Los Angeles, California, he was raised there and in Clio, MI. In 1979 he moved to Barton City, where he lived until 2005 when he moved to Durand. He enjoyed his work with MY CAN. Richard was an avid hunter, and especially enjoyed playing pool and horseshoes.     Richard is survived by his daughter, Mellisa (Sky) McHan of Flint, two sons, Richard L. (Sarah LaBean) Herrera Jr. III, of Flint and Micheal Herrera of Flint, nine grandchildren, his mother, Shirley, and two sisters, Annette Young and Lisa Mattice of Durand.     Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.
