Raymond Lee Ritchie, 82, of Lincoln, Michigan, passed away on October 22, 2026. Born on May 19, 1944, to Lloyd and Mona Ritchie, Raymond lived a life marked by hard work, craftsmanship, devotion to family, and a deep love for the outdoors.
At the heart of Raymond's life was his beloved wife, Linda. Together, they shared more than 60 years of marriage, building a life grounded in love, dedication, and family. Their enduring partnership was an example to all who knew them. Together they raised three sons and created a home filled with laughter, lessons, traditions, and countless memories.
Raymond was a proud father to Curtis Ritchie (Tamie), Adam Ritchie (Vanessa), and Bruce Ritchie (Lisa). He was a devoted grandfather to Devin (Jessica), Blake, Emma, Jared, Kyle, Tristen, Trevin (Breana), Michael (Amanda), Jesse, Remington, and Kaiden, and a cherished great-grandfather to Maddilynn, Raegan, Ellison, Lisa, Remington, Mason, and Cooper.
For over 35 years, Raymond worked as a skilled Tool and Die Maker for General Motors and American Axle. Known for his remarkable ability to build, repair, and create almost anything, he was a craftsman both by profession and by nature. His talents extended far beyond the workplace, and there was little he couldn't fix or build. One of Raymond's greatest accomplishments was building his own home alongside his sons, family, and friends. Family and friends often relied on his knowledge, steady hands, and willingness to help with any project.
An avid outdoorsman throughout his life, Raymond found peace and purpose in the woods and on the water. Deer hunting was a lifelong passion, and he spent countless hours managing his hunting property to create quality wildlife habitat and ensure its enjoyment for future generations. He also loved fishing for salmon on Lake Huron, and when winter arrived, he could often be found ice fishing for perch.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; his sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Clara (Vern) Barta, Joyce Keena, Diane (Terry) Sands, Rena Stephenson, Nancy (Harry) Dunn and Sherry Schmid, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Mona Ritchie; his sister, Inez; and his brothers-in-laws, Bob, Thomas and Charles.
Raymond will be remembered as a loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, talented craftsman, passionate outdoorsman, and loyal friend. He taught those around him the value of hard work, self-reliance, humility, and caring for both family and the land.
Visitation will be Sunday October 25, 2026, 1:00 P.M. until Service at 3:00 P.M. at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.
