Peggy Sue Boulton, 58 of Curran, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on September 30, 2026.
Peggy was one of those people you simply knew was Peggy. She was funny, stubborn, strong-willed, loving, and completely herself. She had a way of making her personality known, and the people who loved her would not have wanted her any other way.
More than anything in this world, Peggy loved her family. Her sons were her greatest pride and joy, and there was nothing she loved more deeply than being their mom. That love extended to her grandchildren, her partner, her family, and all those lucky enough to be part of her circle.
Peggy also knew how to enjoy the little things that made life fun. She loved Mario, unicorns, Yahtzee, Facebook games, and settling in with a good Amish book. She could find entertainment in the simplest things and had plenty of opinions to go along with it. And, of course, there was Rosie, her beloved dog and faithful companion, who held a very special place in Peggy’s heart.
Peggy leaves behind her lifelong partner, Dennis Hensey; her sons, James Gilmore and his fiancée, Victoria, and Daniel Gilmore; her grandchildren, PJ and Paxton; her brothers, Gary Goldner and his wife, Tina, and John Boulton; and her mother, Wanda Goldner. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her father, Malcolm Boulton.
Peggy’s passing leaves an emptiness that is hard to put into words, especially because no one was ready to say goodbye. But the best parts of her will remain in the people who knew and loved her: her humor, her stubborn streak, her love of family, the things that made her laugh, and all the little Peggy-isms that made her unforgettable.
She will be deeply missed, talked about often, laughed about fondly, and loved always.
Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
