Patricia E. Somers

Patricia E. Somers, 81, of Lincoln, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, at her home. Born April 21, 1941, to Edward and Leona (Bagnall) Jackson in Detroit, she was raised there. On January 4, 1964, she married Wayne Somers. They were residents of Livonia before moving to Lincoln in 1976. Pat was an impeccable dresser, who was always dressed to the T. Her daughters never had to bring fancy outfits, as she always had the perfect outfit, complete with matching purses and jewelry. Pat was a city girl who never stopped looking sharp after moving to the country. She worked at the Alcona County Equalization until 1994 and worked at Alcona County EMS until she retired in 2020. Her hobbies included sewing, crafting, baking, and reading. She enjoyed planning her reading lists and her sewing projects. She loved watching sports, especially her nine grandchildren, and loved spending time with her family. Pat is survived by four children, Susanne Somers, Sandra (Tom) Kralik, Russell Somers, and Jacqueline (Frank) DeRose, nine grandchildren, Ethan, Ryan, Patrick, Isabella, Logan, Jenna, Alex, Christina, and Giancarlo, and her brother, Richard Jackson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne on August 4, 2011, her daughter, Lisa Fick on June 16, 2016, and her brother Herb Jackson. Pat’s wishes were to donate her body to the Human Anatomy Program at Michigan State University. An End of Life Celebration will be held in July.
