Nels P. Anderson

Nels P. Anderson, "Opie" 60, of Greenbush, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Tawas City. Born November 23, 1961, to Harold Peter and Rebecca (Hunt) Anderson in Flint, MI, he was raised in Grand Blanc. Nels served in the U.S. Navy and was discharged in 1996 as an Engineman Second Class. Nels was a longtime resident of Greenbush. On August 19, 2013, he married Tina Pinkerton in Harrisville. Nels enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson, mowing the grass, and watching old western movies. He is survived by his wife, Tina Pinkerton-Anderson, four children, Madison (John) Parkinson, Natalie (Matt) Smith, Peter (Emily) Anderson, and Katherine (Damien) Miller, three stepchildren, Andrew, Paul, and Michael Everett and Tony Everett, five grandchildren, five step grandchildren, his mother, Rebecca Anderson, three brothers, Jon (Lisa), Larry (Meredith) and Kyle (Sheri) Anderson, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and stepson, Phillip Everett. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
