Michael S. Callentine

Michael Stuart Callentine, 68, of Harrisville, passed away on Wednesday May 3rd of 2023. Michael was born to Charles and Jean (Conklin) Callentine at Alpena General Hospital in 1955. He graduated from Alcona High School in 1973 and went on to establish a long career as a fabricator and talented master welder. He worked as a project manager at General Motors Proving Grounds. He returned home to his roots in Harrisville after retirement. Michael was a longtime animal lover who enjoyed watching the birds, scooter rides with his sidekick Shelia, and fixing anything for his family and friends. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and his younger sister Sarah, his Aunt Sue Good, Uncle Norman Good and Uncle Edward Schroeder. He is survived by his Aunt Reeta Schroeder, Uncle William Callentine, Cousins; Beth (David) Read, Lynn (Lucky) Kosto, Karl (Becky) Schroeder, Robert (Lenore) Good, his closest friend, cousin, and confidant Blake (Christine) Good, and his beloved dog Shelia. In accordance with Michael's wishes, cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. A private family memorial service will be held at the time of his inurnment at West Lawn Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest with his family.
