Melvin L. Smith, 85, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025.
Born September 3, 1939, to Lyle K. and Leona M. (Goddard) Smith in Mikado, MI, he was a lifelong resident of the area. Melvin served in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Alcona Aggregate. He loved to run heavy equipment. Melvin enjoyed snowmobiling, mowing his lawn, and cutting wood.
Melvin is survived by his daughter, Stacie Smith, two sisters, Kathy and Pat, his brother, Terry, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor “Jimmie” Smith, and two brothers, Duane and Steve.
Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
