Martin D. Starliper, 69, of Greenbush, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at his home.
Born July 4, 1956, to Evers W. and Darlene L. (Buser) Starliper in Cumberland, Maryland, he was raised in Martinsburg, West Virginia. On October 29, 1984, he married Gayle Sweet in Oscoda, MI. Martin proudly made his career in the United States Air Force. He retired from Wurtsmith Air Force Base in 1993 at the rank of Technical Sergeant. Martin had a heart of gold and was a generous supporter of area children’s events. He liked to fish, but his favorite time was spent with his grandchildren.
Martin is survived by his wife Gayle, four children, Michael Nordstrom, Randy Nordstrom, Corey Nordstrom, and Rebecca Starliper, 13 grandchildren, Tori, Tevis, Chyna, Addison, Mason, Jay, Samantha, Dominic, Natalie, Charlotte, Emily, Gage, and Cody, his parents, Evers and Darlene Starliper, three siblings, Steven Starliper, Brenda Coulter, and Cubby Pennington, and his aunt Dian Pennington-Shifflett. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Corey Nordstrom Jr.
Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
