Mable Ann Potts, 83, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully, Friday, September 19, 2025 at her home.
Born March 10, 1942, at home on the farm in Harrisville, to Malcolm and Pauline (Lass) Carnahan, Mable was the youngest of 18 children. She has been a resident of the area most of her life. She was known for her servant’s heart, always there to listen without judgement and to care for her siblings as they aged. She was an avid reader, loved animals,and enjoyed peanut butter right out of the jar. Affectionately known as Grandma Sit, Mable was always available for her grandchildren.
Mable is survived by four children, Helen Marie Dix, Matthew John Dix, Pauline Veronica Somers (Jim Doyle), and Frederick (Raleigh) Potts, eight grandchildren, Malcolm (Taylor) Dix, Morgan (Katilyn) Franklin, Turner (Ben) Grzegorczyk, Riley (Trinity) Somers, and Austin, Brody, Brayden and Larrissa Potts, one great grandson, Ayden Franklin, her sister, Elaine Carnahan, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 16 brothers and sisters.
Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
