Kenneth F. Cholewa, 63, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday, April 5, 2025 at his home.
Born June 22, 1961 to Albert and Barbara (Grzyb) Cholewa in Detroit, he was raised in Warren. Ken worked as a labor supervisor with the Local 1076 of Detroit and later the Local 1098 of Saginaw. On August 2, 1986, he married Sandra Kimberlin in Warren. They were residents of Warren and Hazel Park before moving to Lincoln in 1993. Ken was a member of the First Baptist Church in Lincoln, where he served as a trustee. He loved hockey, especially the Detroit Red Wings. He enjoyed baseball and playing softball. Ken was always working, whether it was mowing his grass, starting a project, or helping someone in need. He was an amazing man, who loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren.
Ken is survived by his wife, Sandy, four children, Melissa (Matt Fogle) Daggett, Robert (Renee) Greenlee, Shannon (Michael) Ashford, and Penny (Branden) Ouillet, seven grandchildren, Nolan (Brooke) Greenlee, Maddison (Isiah Nelkie) Daggett, John Greenlee, Paul and Sadie Ashford, and Cheyenne and Allison Ouillet, two great grandchildren, RaeLynn Maurer and Bennett Greenlee, his mother, Barbara Cholewa, four siblings, Jerry (Michelle) Cholewa, Janis (Norm) Martucci, Larry Cholewa, and Don (Paula) Cholewa, two sisters-in-law, Gail (Warren) Leeseberg, and Linda (Rick) Choate, his brother-in-law, John Kimberlin, his mother-in-law, Karen Kimberlin, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Kenneth E. Cholewa on July 12, 1988, his father, Albert Cholewa on August 26, 2024, his sister, Donna Cholewa, his brother, Mike Cholewa, his mother and father-in-law, Phebie and Leo Pearce, and his father-in-law, Ivan Kimberlin.
Kenneth is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where visitation will be Friday, April 11, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue Saturday, April 12, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Lincoln from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Dr. Rev. Arie Van Brenk will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln.
