Kathleen J. Hubbard

Kathleen J. Hubbard, 70, of Lincoln (Lost Lake Woods Club), passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023, at her home. Born December 17, 1952, to William and Betty (Smith) Essmaker in Mt. Clemens, MI, she was raised there. Kathleen earned a master's degree from Central Michigan University and worked as an art teacher at Alcona High School and Alpena High School. On June 21, 1996, she married Charles “Chuck” Hubbard in Saginaw. Kathleen enjoyed sailing, kayaking, and fishing. She liked trap shooting and was an avid bird hunter. She was not a fan of the snow and cold weather and enjoyed winters in Florida. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Chuck, her son, Andy Wisley, her stepson, Stephen (Amy) Hubbard, four grandchildren, two step grandchildren, her brother Bill (Anne) Essmaker Jr., her sister-in-law, Ellen Schuman, her brother-in-law. Sherm Hubbard, and three nephews, Billy and Eric Essmaker, and Connor Hubbard. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. Private services have been held.
