Joan L. Lewis

Joan L. Lewis, 83, of Harrisville, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.

She was born January 15, 1943, to Harry and Bernice (Hammond) Bolyard in St. Johns, MI. Joan loved shopping at St. Vincents and finding a treasure which was often passed on to others. She filled her room with art pieces from her shopping treasure hunts. She enjoyed playing BINGO, singing, and reading her bible. Joan never met a stranger, they were just friends she hadn’t met yet.

Joan is survived by two sons, Brent (Denise) Lewis and Markus (Kate) Lewis, three grandchildren, Amber Burch, Amanda Morgan, and Kevin Youngs, two great grandchildren, her siblings, Barbara Snider, Kay Ridge-Hesslink, Robert Bolyard and Richard Bolyard, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa, and her grandson, Nik Saathoff.

The family thanks the staff at Lincoln Haven for their care and love of Joan as their family for the past eleven years. A special thanks to Missy and Shelly for love and care beyond measure. A family time of celebration will take place at a later time.
