James McCormick

James “Mac” Edward McCormick (1947-2024) originally from Flint, graduated from St. John Vianney Catholic School before joining the Marine Corp in 1965 from which he was honorably discharged. Most of his career was spent in the transportation industry before becoming a real estate agent and broker in Glennie, MI. Mac was dedicated to community service as he long held a post as supervisor for the Board of Trustees in Curtis Township and more recently as the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in Alcona County. 

Mac was a devout Michigan State fan and avid golfer. He is survived by his brother, John McCormick (Byron, MI); and his children Colin, Megan, and Michael. He was a loving grandfather to Mack, Cooper, Landon, Ayden, Grant and Sadie. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Veterans Affairs of Alcona County 106 5th Street Harrisville, MI 48740.
