Jack Darrell Cole passed away Monday, August 28, 2023. He was born on July 21, 1929 to the late Thurlow and Henrietta Cole. On July 7, 1951, he married Dorothy Cole at the First Baptist Church in Lincoln. He served in the Army in the Korean War and was a school bus driver for 19 years. Jack and Dorothy owned and operated Cole’s Propane Gas and Appliance from 1962 - 1992. Jack was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lincoln where he attended most of his life. He was a Sunday School Teacher and a Deacon. The Lord came first in his life followed by family and friends. He is survived by one daughter, Kathleen Sue Cole, three sons Kenneth, Kevin (Candy), and Bradley (Lucy) Cole, Grandchildren Kelly (Dan) Hall, Angela Brown, Keegan (Lesley) Cole, Nathan (Melissa) Franklin, Tyler (Margie) Cole, Austin Cole, Alex (Emily) Cole, Karina (John) Sharboneau, Kendra Cole, 15 great grandchildren, and sister Jean Wolffis of Muskegon. Preceding him in death were his wife of 69 years, Dorothy, one infant son, Donald Allen, one infant daughter, Beth Ann, son, Darrell, age 25 and daughter-in-law, Katherine (Kenneth) Cole. Mr. Cole is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where friends may call on Wednesday, August 30th from 3 pm until 8 pm, and at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln on Thursday, August 31st from 11 am until the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Dr. Rev. Arie Van Brenk will officiate. There will be a grave side service at the Twin Lakes Cemetery following the funeral and a lunch at the First Baptist Church immediately after.
