Irene Sedokey

Irene J. Sedoskey, 98, of Harrisville, passed away Monday, October 5, 2026 at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville.

Born December 21, 1927, to Joseph and Lillian (Kretchmer) Barton in Detroit, she was raised there. In 1957, she married Anthony Jeckewick in Detroit. They were residents of Union Lake. Anthony preceded her in death in 1979. In 1990, she married Michael Sedoskey in Harrisville. Irene was a devoted homemaker, and enjoyed spending time in her flower garden. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville, and of its Altar Society.

Irene is survived by six children, Anthony (Diana) Jeckewick, Antoinette Super, Timothy Jeckewicz, Renee Foster, Tom Jeckewicz, and Noelle (Rick) Giloman, 12 grandchildren, Dawn Shaw, Chantel Shaw, Shannon Shaw, Courtney Poppe, E.J. Shaw, Micah Shaw, Robert Super, Camille Super, Nicholas Super, Jessica Enter, Madeleine Marroquin, and Lorraine Jeckewicz, and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, on March 24, 2016, her daughter Sharon (James) Shaw, her grandson, WIlliam Shaw, her son-in-law, Doug Foster, her sister, Lorraine Barton, and two brothers, Robert Barton and Jerry Barton.

Memorial Mass will be on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church, Harrisville. Rev. Lawrence Boks will officiate. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
