Howard “Rich” Cosway, 79, of Oscoda, passed away Tuesday, June 24, 2025.

Born June 30, 1945, to Howard D. and Dorothy (Caldwell) Cosway in Pontiac, MI, he was raised there. On February 1, 1964, he married Maureen Karner in Pontiac. They moved to Deford, MI in 1968, where he owned and operated Rich’s Disposal. He moved to Oscoda in 1989. Always a hard worker, Rich owned and operated Wooded Acres resort in East Tawas, Parkside Dairy in Oscoda, and Great Lakes Car Wash in Oscoda. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a former Golden Glove boxer in Detroit.

Rich is survived by his wife, Maureen, two daughters, Kathy Cosway, and Deborah (Rus) Towne, his son, Michael (Cynthia) Cosway, seven grandchildren, Angel, Daniel, Anthony, Jessika, Justyne, Jacob and Cassidy, and five great grandchildren, Caleb, Michael, Daemien, Aleahna, and Kai. He was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
