Heather Ann Hoos

August 31, 1975 — September 8, 2018

Heather Ann Hoos, 43, of Alpena, passed away September 8, 2018 peacefully, surrounded by friends and family.   Heather was born in Bay City, MI to Kim LaFave Sr. and Peggy Gauthier on August 31, 1975.  Heather was a lifelong resident of Alpena County where she was a former employee of Northeast Michigan Community Mental Health.  She enjoyed her time there caring for others and spending time with friends and family.    Heather is survived by three children, Sonny Hunn of Detroit, Brook Hoos of Alpena, and Matthew Hoos of Alpena, her father, Kim (Tamara) LaFave Sr. of Black River, six brothers and sisters, Chad (Ann) Prittie, Kim LaFave Jr., Krystian (Michael) White, Mykayla Basner, Michael Basner, and August LaFave.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy.    A Celebration of Life will be held on October 6, 2018 at the Black River Hall from 2:00 until 6:00 P.M.  Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          To order memorial trees or send flowers to the family in memory of Heather Ann Hoos, please visit our flower store.
