Grace Panzica

Grace Panzica, 84, of Harrisville, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville.   Born April 4, 1934 to Antonio and Antonette (Savino) Scamazzo in Detroit, MI, she was raised there.   On July 24, 1954, she married Paul Panzica Sr. in Detroit.  They were residents of Garden City and moved to Mikado in 1971.  A devoted homemaker, Grace was a wonderful cook, and specialized in homemade Italian meals.  She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville.  She was a former member of the Harrisville V.F.W. Auxiliary.  She loved her garden and tending to her peonies and canning the vegetables she grew.  Grace enjoyed reading, puzzles and BINGO.    Grace is survived by four children, Carmela (Kim) Lee, Philip (Christine Brule) Panzica, Paul (Diane) Panzica Jr., and Tony (Lisa) Panzica, 16 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, one sister, Rose Smolen, and two brothers, Frank (Barbara) and Joseph (Carole) Scamazzo.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, on June 10, 2010, her grandson Joseph Panzica, her sister, Francis (John) Bates, and her brother-in-law, Tom Smolen.    There will be a memorial mass Saturday, August 4, 2018 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville at 10:00 A.M.  Visitation will begin at 9:00 A.M.  Rev.
