Glenn R. Wheeler

Glenn R. Wheeler, 89, of longtime Harrisville, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025.

Born June 8, 1935 to Robert and Inez (Carr) Wheeler in Detroit, he was raised there. On August 20, 1953, he married Charlotte Mahon in Detroit. Glenn served proudly in the U.S. Army Reserves. After moving to Harrisville, he was active with the volunteer fire department, and served as a first responder, a position he loved dearly. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and his morning coffee club.

Glenn is survived by three children, Gwenn Wheeler, Patrick (Denise) Wheeler, and Chris (Sandy) Wheeler, five grandchildren, Jason Allor, Jeremy (Cindy) Allor, Christy Wheeler, Aimee (Nancy) O’Brien, and Jessica Coxs, eight great grandchildren, Jaylea (Scott) Kern, Jacob (Kayla) Allor, Shelby Goins, Alexis and Tristan Allor, Autumn Crooks, and Dililah and Robby Coxs, 12 great great Lily Haberski, Eliza Kern, Ariel, Sydney, and Elijah Taylor, Addison, Abel, and Belle Kern, Matthias and Spencer Allor, and Lilly and Larry Crooks, and his sister, Nell Dawson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte on September 26, 2023, and three brothers, George Madar, and Roy and Bob Wheeler.

Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
