George R. Parent Jr.

George R. Parent Jr., 82, of Harrisville, passed away Saturday, February 7, 2026 at his home.

Born November 10, 1943 to George R. and Mary (Campus) Parent Sr., in Detroit, he was raised in Royal Oak and Alcona County. George was a member of the National Shrine of the Little Flower Basilica and of the Mikado Goodfellows. He was a car aficionado, and avid hunter, and loved spending time with his family. In 1981, he married Joann Loudan in Royal Oak. They retired to Harrisville in 2005. Joann preceded him in death on December 11, 2018.

George is survived by four children, Teena Stewart, Kevin Parent, Chris (Kim) Parent, and Jamie Mosher, 8 grandchildren, Luke, Alex, and Brandon (Rachel) Parent, Jake and Jett Michael, and Matthew, Nicole, and Anthony, 8 great grandchildren, and his sister, Merry Lou (George) Loyer and her family. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Patricia Parent.

Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. Memorial donations are suggested to the Mikado Goodfellows.
