Gary Truman

Gary James Truman, a cherished father, son, brother, husband, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2025, in his hometown of Harrisville, Michigan. Born on October 6, 1964, Gary lived a life filled with warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved.

Known for his keen sense of humor, sharp mind, and ability to find joy in life’s simple moments, Gary left an unforgettable mark on everyone he met. His spirit brightened countless lives, and his legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will endure.

Gary was deeply devoted to his children, Anthony (Brittany) Truman, Bradley Truman, and Natalie Truman, and their mother, Renee Truman. He was a proud and dedicated father who built a great life for his family through his long career at Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, MI.

In retirement, Gary returned to the peacefulness of a quieter life in Harrisville, MI. He found solace in the outdoors, tending to his garden, walking his beloved dog, and traveling to new places. His greatest happiness came from spending time with family and friends. He was always ready to lend a helping hand or share a heartfelt laugh. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his children and their mother, Gary is survived by his loving mother, Ruth Truman; his brothers, Harold (Patricia) Truman, Larry (Sherri) Truman, and Karl (Sheri) Truman. He was predeceased by his father, Harold Raymond Truman.

Visitation will be Saturday, August 23, 2025, from 12:00 PM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.  Burial will be at Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln.
