Gary Shaver

Gary E. Shaver, 80, of Spruce, passed away April 16, 2020 at his home after a long courageous battle with Parkinson’s disease. Gary was born September 20, 1939 in Yale, MI to the late Donald and Hazel (Rector) Shaver. He is survived by his beloved wife Mary Ann of 27 years, brother Thomas (Nancy) Shaver, half brother Roy (Kelly) Gordon children Tom McVeigh, Tami Bailey, Traci (Ron) Churchill, Brandon Heaney, Christopher (Rachel) Heaney, 12 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, as well as many cousins and friends who loved him dearly. Gary has been a member of the Spruce Presbyterian Church for many years. Gary spent most of his adult life living and working for Arthur Baren Shoes in San Francisco California before retiring to Spruce, MI. He enjoyed playing golf and working in his yard. Gary was a very generous loving soul. He will be missed by all those who had the privilege of knowing him. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
