Florence M. Sterling

Florence M. Sterling, 94, of Greenbush, passed away January 20, 2026 at Viva Memory Care in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Born January 19, 1932, to Henry and Ruth (Schmidt) Robling in Pewaukee, Wisconsin, she was raised there. In March of 1950, she married Stanley G. Sterling in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Florence owned and operated a small retail business and sold AVON. She worked for many years with her husband at Sterling Construction Company. Florence was an accomplished pianist, and talented soprano vocalist. She enjoyed arranging flowers and interior design.

Florence is survived by her daughter, Sherrygail Sterling (Marc Neuhoff), her daughter, Patricia Dinkeloo, her son Glenn Sterling, her granddaughter, Heather (David) Hoogstra, and many loving and wonderful nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley, her parents Ruth and Al Perschon, her brother Don Aten, sister-in-law, Joyce Aten, sister-in-law, Jeannie Sterling, a few nieces and nephews, a son-in-law, and her best friend and travel companion, Lloyd Sherrill.

Mrs. Sterling is at Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln, where funeral services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 11:00 AM.
