Elnore A. Hall

Elnore A. Hall, 81, of Harrisville, passed away Tuesday, January 7, 2020. Born October 8, 1938 to Edwin E. and Hilda (Honkola) Pirkola in Baraga County, MI, she was raised in Keweenaw Bay and Detroit, MI. She was a longtime resident of Royal Oak, MI, where she worked as a bank teller. In 1994, she married Lloyd “Gordie” Hall. He preceded her in death in August 2009. In 2010, Elnore moved to Harrisville. She was a longtime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Royal Oak and Spruce. Elnore loved crafts, and was able to “repurpose” many items into works of art. She loved her grandkids and was affectionately known throughout the community as “Grandma Ellie”. Elnore is survived by her son, Jeffrey Susan of Harrisville, three grandchildren, Tara Roe of Alpena, Christopher Susan of Dearborn, and Alysse Susan of Ossineke, three great grandchildren, Brielle Susan-Pettit, and Brendan and Braylin Roe, one sister, Pamela Ermatinger of Canton, one brother, David Pirkola of Grand Rapids, her dear friends Nancy Stoops of Harrisville and Judy Good of Oscoda, as well as numerous loved ones and friends. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Elizabeth Murphy and her brother, Donald Pirkola. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
