Electa L. Balla

Electa Lyda Balla passed away peacefully on June 17, 2026 in Alpena, Michigan at the age of 82. She was born January 7, 1944, in Bay City, Michigan to Albert L. and Elnora L. Harris.

Before moving to Harrisville in 1994, she spent many years volunteering with the Girl Scouts in Northern Oakland County in a variety of roles. She had a life-long love of the outdoors and reading and she never stopped learning. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ronald E. Balla in 2014.

She is survived by her daughters, Erica Schneider (Andrew) of Columbus, Ohio; Elena Fryer (Ronn) of Oscoda, Michigan; Lyn Heath (John) of Harrisville, Michigan; her step-daughter Judy (Patrick) Walsh of Utica, Michigan who she loved like her own her daughter; and two grandchildren Grayson and Jamisen Schneider of Columbus, Ohio.
