Elaine G. Medor

Elaine G. Medor, 95, of Lincoln, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025 at her home.

She was born November 11, 1929, in Flint, Michigan, to Leonard and Julia (Souler) Franklin. Elaine was a graduate of Oscoda High School and Ypsilanti Cleary (College) University. On June 5, 1949, she married Hazen Medor in Lincoln. They celebrated fifty three years of happy marriage. They lived most of their married life in the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti area where Hazen was a builder and built their homes. Elaine retired in 1986 as Payroll Supervisor at Beyer Hospital in Ypsilanti. In 1991, they retired and moved back to their hometown. Hazen died in 2002. They were always active members and held many positions at Ypsilanti First Baptist Church, Northside Baptist Church in Ann Arbor, and the First Baptist Church in Lincoln. Elaine loved to read, work puzzle books, and play BINGO. She loved to cook and bake.

Elaine is survived by her brother Don Franklin (Holly Hussain), a very dear cousin, Myrillis Drawe, her sister-in-law, Karen Franklin, and many well loved and loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, her son, Douglas, two sisters, Virginia Dudler and VanDetta King, three brothers, Robert Franklin, Richard Franklin, and Theron Franklin, eight sisters-in-law, Bernice Medor, Shirley Liberty, Dorothy Hinkley, June Muckle, Betty Byce, Helen Fisher, Marie Franklin, and Diana Franklin, and five brothers-in-law, Laverne Medor, Jerry Medor, Joe Medor, Michael Dudler, and Edwin King.

Memorial visitation will be Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 3:00 until 8:00 PM at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. Memorial service will be Friday, June 27, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Al Kersten will officiate. Burial will be in Twin Lakes Cemetery, Lincoln. Memorial donations are suggested to the Mikado Goodfellows.
