Edward D. MacGregor Sr.

Edward D. MacGregor Sr., 90, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Ascension St. Joseph Hospital in Tawas City. Born May 6, 1932, to Clarence and Elsie (Holmes) MacGregor in Haynes Twp., MI, he was a lifelong resident of Harrisville. Ed served in the US Army during the Korean War. On January 16, 1957, he married Luella Kelly. Ed worked for the United States Postal Office and retired in 1994. He was a member of the Harrisville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed sports, especially baseball, bowling, and golfing. He raced stock cars and enjoyed deer hunting. Ed is survived by his daughter Ann Marie Coomes, his son, Edward (Kelly) MacGregor Jr., four grandchildren, Jennifer and Patrick Coomes, and Devin and Brandon MacGregor, his sister, Marilyn Sacco, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Luella on April 11, 2019, his son-in-law Pat Coomes, and his brother Gordon MacGregor. A memorial service will be Saturday, June 3, 2023, at 11:00 AM at New Life Lutheran Church in Spruce. Rev. Christina Bright will officiate.
