Donald "Rob" Wright

Donald Robert “Rob” Wright, 52, of Harrisville, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at his home.  

Born November 12, 1969 to Jimmy and Ivy (Thrasher) Wright in Royal Oak, MI, he was raised in Hazel Park.  On January 5, 1990, he married Tarrie Dunn in Warren, MI.  He moved to Curran in 2003 where he served on the Curran Volunteer Fire Department.  Rob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and bowling.  He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.  

Rob is survived  by his wife Tarrie, six children, Joseph (Monique) Wright, Jimmy (Ashley) Wright, Kyle (Kait) Oates, Andrew (Megan) Wright, Blake Huntley, and Kris (Amber) Lance, three grandchildren, Paisley Wright, Huxlee Wright, Lexi Lance, his parents, Jimmy Wright and Ivy Thrasher, his step father, Nick Skrelja, four sisters, Kelly (Shane) Rhoades, Melissa (Roy) Hodges, Nikki Skrelja, and Stephanie Skrelja, as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  

Visitation will be Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 11:00 AM until the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln.  Steven Thrasher will officiate.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Alcona County Sheriff Department.
