Donald G. Harmon Jr.

Donald Grant Harmon Jr., 64, of Barton City, passed away Sunday, December 15, 2019 at his home.    Don was born December 20, 1954 to Donald G. and Alice I. (Swenson) Harmon Sr. in Tawas City, MI.  He graduated from Kettering High School in Waterford MI in 1973. Don joined the U.S. Navy in 1976 where he was stationed on the USS Independence.  He was honorably discharged in 1978. After 30 years of employment with GM he retired to the Barton City area to enjoy his love of hunting and fishing.  Don also enjoyed horseshoes, euchre, and telling a story that made people laugh. He was a member of the Barton City Eagles Aerie 4141.     Don was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Ross Dean and Ralph Elmer Harmon.  He is survived by numerous cousins.   There will be a memorial service on Saturday, January 4, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Barton City VFW Hall.  Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
