Diana J. Skotzke

Diana J. Skotzke, 75, of Spruce, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at her home.

Born July 17, 1949, to Denton “Tootsie” and Betty (Griffin) Chase in Harrisville, she was raised there. She moved to Ohio in 1978, and returned to Greenbush in 1988. On August 2, 1998, she married Eugene Skotzke in Harrisville. Diana was a 45 year member of the Ossineke Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3762, and of the Moose Lodge in Ohio. She loved to bowl. A talented seamstress, Diana enjoyed sewing and crochet. She collected porcelain dolls, just like her mother, Betty, did. She loved family gatherings, especially spending time with her grandchildren.

Diana is survived by three daughters, Lisa Carlson (Marty Cunningham), Lori (Gary) Carlson, and Lorna (Robert) Riedy, their father, Larry Carpenter, her stepson, Frank (Lysbeth) Skotzke, eleven grandchildren, Mathew (Jessica) Joesten, Crystal (Tory), Jenna (Sean), and Alicia (Richard) Jenks, Taylor (Guillermo) Onate, Curtis (Infinity) and Tabitha Michel, Maggie Carlson, Bowen Riedy, Bobby (Ashley) Skotzke, and Tracy (Jeremy) Alter, 22 great grandchildren, her sister, Susan (Arthur “Rocky”) Higginson, three brothers, many nieces and nephews, and her childhood friend, Shalda Pettit. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene, on July 24, 2021, her grandson, Jesse Jordan Michael on November 14, 1987, and her brother, Gordon Chase.

Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
