Dennis R. Barstow

Dennis R. Barstow, 81, of Hillman, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2026 at Lincoln Haven Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born May 6, 1944 to Ray and Marian (Bennett) Barstow in Detroit, MI, he was raised in St. Clair Shores and in Lewiston. Ray served in the United States Army. He worked as a police officer in Memphis, MI, retiring as Chief of Police. He was a member of the American Legion. Dennis enjoyed fishing and hunting.

Dennis is survived by four children, Lynn (Todd) Dehar, Dennis W. (Kathy) Barstow, Nichole Rae Freer, and Stephanie Rae Barstow, 21 grandchildren, and his sister Cherie Stone. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Samantha Bunch and his brother, Darwin Barstow.

Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln. No services are planned at this time.
