Mikado

Born Denise Elizabeth Morgan (Bull) at St. Mary's Hospital in Long Beach, California. She was raised and preceded in rest by her parents, William Clifford Morgan and Ethel Emily Morgan (Hosko), also passed her ex-husband Roger Allen Schulz (1947-2023), father-in-law Roger Adolf Schulz, mother-in-law Juanita May Schulz (Fawbush), sister-in-law Jackie Morgan, brother-in-law Lawrence "Larry" Dale Schulz and beloved grandson Benjamin Wegener. Survived by her brother Bruce Morgan and children Lori Gallespie (Morgan) and Bryan Morgan. Also sister-in-laws, Carolyn Schulz-Moriarty, Brenda Renner (Schulz), Deborah Stevens (Schulz) and brother-in-laws Jerry, David and Paul Schulz. 

Denise married Roger Allen Schulz (1968-1984) in Long Beach, California. They met in California when Roger was in the U.S. Navy and she was working for a pediatrician. In 1974 they moved to Michigan where Schulz Farms became a large farming operation in Mikado specializing in raising pigs and cattle. Their children Stacy Irene Wegener (Schulz) and Jason Robert Schulz, daughter-in-law Cherrie Mae Schulz, grandchildren E.J. Schulz and Jaimie Alexis Schulz. In addition are her son-in-law Daniel Alfred Wegener, grandsons Roger Clarence Wegener, Benjamin Daniel Wegener (2002-2022), and great granddaughter Lily Rose Kukla/Wegener (mom-Hayley Ann Kukla,) 

Denise or "Nisi" had many long-time friends, many of which belonged to St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Mikado, Michigan, where she was a Sunday School teacher, Sunshine Lady (sending cards to and visiting other parishioners), a member of the Prayer Circle and a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, baking, gardening, collecting snow globes, writing and sketching. She loved animals especially Heidi her dog and Casper her well-travelled kitty. Very rarely did she miss sending cards and writing letters to loved ones for birthdays or holidays. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she always made it magical.

Medilodge in Rogers City, Michigan. Her love and life is a legacy and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Thank you.
