Denise or "Nisi" had many long-time friends, many of which belonged to St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Mikado, Michigan, where she was a Sunday School teacher, Sunshine Lady (sending cards to and visiting other parishioners), a member of the Prayer Circle and a Eucharistic Minister. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, baking, gardening, collecting snow globes, writing and sketching. She loved animals especially Heidi her dog and Casper her well-travelled kitty. Very rarely did she miss sending cards and writing letters to loved ones for birthdays or holidays. Her favorite holiday was Christmas and she always made it magical.

Anyone wishing to send a memorial please consider a donation to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. We also wish to thank the caregivers and nurses of

Medilodge in Rogers City, Michigan. Her love and life is a legacy and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Thank you.
