David Loucks

David J. Loucks, Sr., 81, of Alpena, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at his home. Born July 22, 1939 to John and Jeannette (Bernier) Loucks in Detroit, Mi he was raised there. David served in the U.S. Navy. On August 23, 1976, he married Gloria Pearce in Dearborn Heights. They moved to Lincoln in 1980. Dave was a talented self-taught musician. He played the guitar, banjo, piano and harmonica, and enjoyed entertaining people with his music. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, eight children, Loretta (Don) Gossett, Robert Loucks, Edward Loucks, John Bakewell, Tracy Grant, Laura Crossley, Betty (Mark) Merlino, and Nichole (John) Tadajewski, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, one sister, Patricia Fisk, and two brothers John (Sherri) and Alan (Peggy) Loucks. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah VanOrden, his son, David Loucks Jr., and his brother Phillip Loucks. Funeral services will be Friday, October 30, 2020 at 4:00 PM at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln. Visitation will begin at 11:00 AM. Rev. Joe Muszkiewicz will officiate.
