Clarence A. Shirkey

Clarence A. Shirkey, 94, of Black River, passed away Monday, February 6, 2023 at Jamieson Nursing Home in Harrisville. Born March 9, 1928, to Alfred and Nellie (Ducharme) Shirkey in Detroit, he was raised in Marine City and St. Clair Shores. Clarence served in the U.S. Army. On May 28, 1949, he married Jean Bloye in Detroit. He enjoyed a career in the tool and die industry. He was a member of the American Legion, Mikado Post #254, and of the Ossineke Eagles #3762. He loved the out of doors, especially walking in the woods and watching the deer. Clarence is survived by his daughter, Denise Shirkey and his grandson, Albert Hall. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean on December 24, 2020, his daughter, Diana Lee Hall on September 12, 1986, one sister, and two brothers.
