Cheryl A. Rizzardi

Cheryl Ann Rizzardi, 45, of Harrisville, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024.


Born April 11, 1978 to John and Nancy (Taylor) Rizzardi in Alpena, MI, she was a lifelong resident of Harrisville.  After graduating from Saginaw Valley State University with her Masters Degree in Education, she taught preschool at Sunrise Education for 12 years, before starting Kids First Learning Center in Tawas.  She spent summers working for Mackinaw Parasailing, a job she enjoyed since her teenage years.  Cheryl worked for John’s Home Maintenance Lawn Division for one day, announcing it was “not my forte”.  She also worked at Richard’s Pharmacy in Harrisville.  Cheryl enjoyed travel, outdoor activities including boating and parasailing, being with her friends and family, skiing, snowmobiling, and gardening.  


Cheryl is survived by her mother, Nancy Jean Rizzardi, four brothers, John William (Kimberly) Rizzardi, James William (Jeannie) Rizzardi, William Robert Rizzardi, and Robert James Rizzardi, and her nieces and nephews, John Ryan, Ashley Anne, Jimmy, Joey, and Jacob Rizzardi.  She was preceded in death by her father John Rizzardi, and her grandparents, Bill and Cecilia Taylor, and Laura and Jim Rizzardi.  


Cheryl is at Gillies Funeral Home in Lincoln, where visitation will be Tuesday, January 16, 2024 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.  Visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at St. Anne Catholic Church in Harrisville from 11:00 AM until the Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM.  Burial will be in St. Anne Catholic Cemetery, Harrisville.  Memorial donations are suggested to Friends Together, 105 Prentiss Street, Alpena, MI 49707.
