Cheryl Lynn Burns

Cheryl Lynn Burns, 67, of Harrisville, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at her home. Born September 23, 1954, to James A. and Elaine (Oskey) Shaw in Fling, MI, she was raised in North Carolina and California. In 1971 she moved to Harrisville and graduated from Alcona High School in 1973. She married Michael Burns in 1974 at Wurtsmith Air Force Base. Cheryl was known for her contagious laugh and genuine smile. She enjoyed shopping, decorating, and especially working in her flower garden. Her sense of humor was unmatched, along with her vast knowledge of music. Cheryl is survived by her husband, Michael, three sisters, Sandra (Arthur) Socher, Phyllis (Keith) VonFintel, and Jenelle Jacobs, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, David Shaw. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
