Bobby A. Elkins

Bobby A. Elkins, 82, of Mikado passed away Saturday, July 31, 2021. Born March 14, 1939, to James and Geneva (Woodard) Elkins in Huntington WV, he was raised there. Bobby worked for Ford Motor Company for many years. On March 26, 1966, he married Billy Jo Elkins in Walled Lake. They were long time residents of Walled Lake. Bobby retired to Mikado in 1989. He was a member of the Mikado American Legion Post 254, the Barton City Fraternal Order of Eagles 4141, and of the Alcona Lodge #292 Free and Accepted Masons. Bobby enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing, as well as playing horseshoes and pool. Bobby is survived by his wife, Billy Jo, two daughters, Tammie Freeborn and Wendy Burch, his brother, Fuzzy (Donna) Elkins, two sisters-in-law, Elaine (RD) Brown and Linda Ackley, his brother-in-law, Roy (Vi) Ackley, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was a special pappa to Lee Shull. He was preceded in death by two sons, Bobby Elkins Jr, and Gregory Elkins. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
