Beatrice I. Dellar

Beatrice Ionah Dellar, 95, of Atlanta, MI, passed away Monday, October 2, 2023, at her home.

Born August 24, 1928, to Lawrence and Susan (Paul) Healy in Flint, MI, she was raised in Glennie.  On February 16, 1946, she married Lyle Dellar in Harrisville where they were longtime residents.  Beatrice worked as a teacher’s aide but enjoyed working at home in her kitchen.  She loved baking, cooking, and taking care of children.  She was known for her hand decorated cakes and singing with the Sweet Adelines.  She lived in Florida for several years, before moving to Atlanta, MI in 2019. 

Beatrice is survived by her children, William (Marilyn) Dellar, Armeda Dellar, Allen Dellar, Lois Ann (Michael) Dellar, 16 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle on September 19, 2003, her daughter Janet Dellar, her grandson, Steven VanSickle, and seven siblings. 

Mrs. Dellar is at Gillies Funeral Home, where visitation will take place on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the funeral service at 11:00 AM.  Memorial donations are suggested to Hospice of Michigan.
