Barry R. McNeill

Barry Ryan McNeill of Greenbush, Michigan, passed away on September 27, 2025 at home.

He was born on September 8, 1957 to Stewart and Catherine McNeill (Snay) in Tawas City, Michigan.

Barry married Robin McNeill (Bedward) on November 2, 1990, and they raised two children, Lenny and Barbara Rowan McNeill.

He graduated from Oscoda High School in 1976. He started apprenticing with Local Union 85 immediately after high school and remained employed with them for 44 years before his retirement in 2020. In his younger years, he raced cars and motorcycles, played on pool leagues, and enjoyed trap shooting. After retirement, he spent his summers gardening, target practicing, and fishing, and the winters woodworking and ice fishing.

Barry is survived by his wife, children, siblings Scott McNeill, Eric McNeill, and Gina Cinquino, his Uncle Dale McNeill and his mother.

He was preceded in death by his father and Uncle Don McNeill.

A memorial will be held on October 4th in Benzonia, MI at his Uncles' hunting lodge. Cremation arrangements were made through Gillies Funeral Home, Lincoln.
